Pace for the Place Returns to Brookside
Monday, March 21, 2011
mobank is inviting customers, friends and neighbors from across Greater Kansas City to join us in Brookside April 9 for the second annual Pace for the Place.
Pace for the Place is a springtime walk along the scenic Trolley Track Trail near our Brookside branch at 7 W. 62nd Terrace. It's a fun event with a serious mission: raising funds for The Children's Place, an organization dedicated to healing the youngest survivors of abuse, neglect and trauma.
"The Children's Place serves a vital need in our community, so we're delighted to sponsor the walk again this year," said Grant Burcham, mobank's president and CEO. "Last year, we had 130 people participate and we raised almost $3,000. We're looking to top both those numbers this year."
The family-friendly festivities begin at 8:30 a.m. with musical entertainment by Radio Disney. The walk covers a three-mile circular route, followed by a pancake breakfast by Chris Cakes and coffee provided by The Roasterie.
Participants should register online at www.mobank.com/rsvp. Cost for the event is $25 per adult and $5 for children 5-12 years old. All proceeds will go directly to The Children's Place.<<-Next Prev->>
