The unique, "old-fashioned" nature of mobank's commitment to customer service was the topic of a recent feature in the "Growth Strategies" section of the Kansas City Business Journal.
The article, written by reporter James Dornbrook and published Feb. 18, 2011, cited that mobank's culture "strives to take service above and beyond the competition" as primarily responsible for the bank's strongest decade of growth in its 125-year history.
The article quoted Sandy Moll, president of Olathe-based bank consultants Advanced Bank Solutions, saying mobank "looks like what community banks used to look like years ago. They have a high-touch approach."
mobank customer David Polivka of Polivka Studio credited the bank for "helping people like me … get into business and stay in business in the art, creative and architectural community" through programs such as mobank's Small Business Course and networking opportunities that encourage local small businesses to patronize each other.
President and CEO Grant Burcham told the publication "some of our best customers started out as people who needed someone to believe in their idea and their dream."
